I'm sorry granny :(. You didn't kill it. Sometimes there's something going on internally that we can't see. I'm really sorry :(

Oh no! I'm so sorry. I know its hard to not feel responsible when something like that happens, but sometimes they are out of our hands. You made a call that was with good intention for the keet, and that's what matters. You can't know if your actions changed the outcome at all. It may have just not made it anyways.

thank you bugglesmommy, but i know i did , just not on purpose there was nothing wrong with him, i just didnt want to start him on antibiotics, so i put him in a wire cage and into the guinea coop so he could learn what he was and he either got too cold or too scared to eat. live and learn i guess

a man gave me some chickens that he kept in a wire cage their whole life and one of them was injured, he picked it up and put it out on the ground to die there so i picked it up and just took it home with me. it was crippled, starved and must of had internal injuries. i have been babing it for a week now and i tried everything i could sling, hand feeding, vitamins but it did pass this day too. i dont feel bad about that one. i tried hard and i know it tasted freedom and the feel of grass on its feet before it left

Their whole lives? That's just awful.. how anyone could keep a living creature like that is beyond me. :(

bet he has 500 of them and he is old too. he is a breeder that has gotten out of hand. i would bust them out but then i would have the same problem he has now. i took 6 of them not counting the one that died. they are all doing good. feathers are already starting to come back

Awww. I was looking at some of the small bird coops here feeling a bit like that, our budgies I feel bad for, but their cage has gumtree snd loads of grasd snd lucerne tree to nibble. Which they find exciting. I really want an avairy for them, and the girls rabbits and guinea pigs.
That little bird must have already thought itd found Paradise, imagine how sweet that felt. :) good on you granny
