Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

these cages were like 8 by 8 for the big chicken PAIRS and 6 by for the bantams. i used to have avery for my birds, i did breed and sell cockatiels, parakeets, lovebirds and finches. that was a life time ago

Poor thing. I recently got some japanese bantams that also had spent their entire lives without being able to touch the ground. Their nails were over an inch long each. They looked rough. They are slowly getting better and loving the heck out of something as simple as grass. Each of the breeding cages were about 3X3. I may have mentioned it before on this thread, I can't remember, but they are why I started my venture into fermented feed. I wanted to give them something better to pick them up some. My birds really love it. The pig to. Every time she saw me scooping the FF, she went nuts so I relented and I give her a tiny bit at every feeding.

cheyen, where i live is sandwiched between two amish communities. there is sooo many people that belive the animals are her to only serve them and if they dont do their job then they are worthless irregardless if the were trained to do so or not. a dog is supposed to watch and hunt and if they put a chicken in there mouth they are shot. i know this because it happened right on my own front porch. i did call the dog catcher once because of a sick stray beagle and was told to shoot it. there are full blooded dogs running around here that were dumped because they didnt do their job. it is pitiful.

6X6 inch?!?!?!?!

That is cruel beyond belief. wouldn't limit a newly hatched bantam chick to that space.

Happy Anniversary!

today was my 19th wedding anniversary, and all i did was cook and clean (sigh) the honeymoon is over, now its just honeydo.

Mmm. Honeydo, I'd laugh but I'd cry, pouring you a glass of wine and toasting your good health! We know you've earned it.:weee
Thanks for saving the Chicky babe from a sad ending, 6 inches is barbaric. Sometimes humanity is nothing to do with being human.

thank you, and yes very cruel. am trying to get a coop for my cuz to take some off his hands but i wonder if that just encourages him to get more? im sure he used to be able to care for them but not now
