The others are literally a box of fluffies.
And I just had a major disaster. Bought a rabbit waterer for them, which they love, only to go back in an hour later and find it had drip leaked the whole bottle all over the base of the box, poor swimmer was wet and cold. Dried him off, fed him a little honey water.
Sigh.
that sounds like something i would like to try.lol how many did you end up with?Swimmer has dried off and perked up a bit. Still prone to getting cast on his back, but stronger again. I couldnt get any shelf liner so I cut uo the roll of vet wrap and covered the bin base with it. Took out most of the sawdust too.
I despatched poor Totoro, if I hadnt been giving her water she would have dehydrated Completely hours ago. Feeling really gutted. Poor thing was miserable. She wouldnt set herself down so im thinking maybe an internal injury. Seemed wrong just to let her suffer any longer.![]()
Was sitting watching them all..they run backwards at speed then poop. Which is unfortunate for anyone behind them.![]()
geez ! it must be hawk season! good thing its ok.Went to the doctor again today to get some medication. In the driveway on my way to the car, I saw a hawk sitting on one of my barred rocks! How the thing got out of its run is beyond me. I chased it out the drive, and he flew off with my chicken! She was too heavy for him, so he dropped her. He didn't do too much damage, which is surprising. I'm going to have to do some coop repairs to make it escape proof.![]()
thats good news ! pretty soon he will be playing leap frog with the rest of themWell this morning theres 14.
Swimmer is getting stronger, he is still slow but opinionated. The rest are fighting fit.
I cant believe how fast their feathers change! And boy can they jump!
