Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news... I went to give Moose his water yesterday evening before I went to bed. Moose passed away last night.

I was giving him a few drops of sugar water and electrolytes every ten to fifteen minutes. It seems like he went peacefully, since I thought he was asleep.

His crop was empty, but he was so weak and tired. He just gave out, I guess. Despite both Moose and Archie passing away, this has been one of the best learning experiences I've had. Because of them, I will definitely be ordering chukar chicks or chukar eggs come spring. I'm going to miss the little guy. He was such a special little thing.

i am sooo sorry, cheyen. i think a few people will miss him, including me.i know you did all you could. things happen beyond our control. they lost my shipment again and out of 5 only one made it. its a reel big bummer

Poor little Moose probably had some bad genes going for him. Let this serve as a lesson... don't hatch eggs that were meant to be eaten.

Well.. enough sad stuff! I still have Pip and her posse to worry about.

Earlier this week, my sister's finch laid eggs. I thought you guys would appreciate how tiny they are! She doesn't have a male, so they're infertile. I'm thinking about turning them into earrings. They're so cute!


This is them next to an average sized chicken egg. They're adorable!

Awww, Cheyen, I'm so sorry to hear about Moose. His incubation and life were quite an adventure! Those finch eggs are tiny!

Bought the chicks a rabbit drinker today, theyre lobing it.

Tried swimmer without tape, he was fin and then he was worse, do hes tsped up again but really falling fown heaps. Probably doesnt help that everyones jumping around like frogd.
Totoro is looking terrible. I fid a little honey and water, she got energised but now shes drooped again. I cant find any thing external, butt is clean. Shes under the heat lamp wings slightly lifted. If I move her she goes back.
