Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

Goodness, go outside and garden for 2 days come back to swings! Hey those quail are like some of mine, a couple of my girls looked a bit horrified by the laying business....but cheesed off by the breeding business! I find my males that colour are really aggressive, but the rosetta ? Wild coloured ones are less so. The white hens are less skittery too.
Be a bit bummed out if the Fabulous four are all boys..they have such nice markings. Of course now I need to find a differant gene pool for breeding. My guy suggested I release all the extra boys into my garden.... but i reckon it would be fight club or head less corpses on the kitchen mat! ( would like to eat them but have never home killed before. ? ?Wimp alert.

Chicken swings. ?.! Kevin would Love it! Shes brave and crazy rir .

chicken swings are awesome !! lol hours of entertainment. its not hard to kill the chickens after the first one. you just have to "get in the mood" haha. i put the twisted neck down today. thought he was better then he got worse. wouldnt drink. so bye bye. what does the queen say? off with their head ! i have sharpened my hatchet 2 times this winter and still cant get a clean cut.

Yeah, just like most things I guess, probably thinking about it is worse. Kinda to chop than let the fat cat get em..

Just took kiddlets to the pool, open air summer pool in town... got my crazy on and dived in too...hmmm skin is a lot thinner now...brrr...took a good 6 lengths to warm up, them every kid in the pool was playing in the swimming lane, so I got the rest of the pool to myself. Good times people, Yeah!
Tired now and have to weed wack lawn before dinner ( baked beans for all I'm thinking )

Still contemplating getting bantam eggs for incubating. . But if they all go broody kinda defeats the egg production, broody hens swear like shearers ..potty mouths with sweet faces! Pros and cons? We have such a small breed range here too..

bantams are eye candy, some dont sit their eggs, some you cant stop no matter what you do. silkies are great mamas if you want to hatch some eggs from chickens, ducks ect.. that wont sit. i like the eggs. i know all eggs taste the same. yes they do, but, they are not made the same. bantam eggs have a full size yolk with less white and yum thats the good part. ok so yes, most of my flock is bantam. when a large roo spurs you, you run and cry. that stuff hurts !! if a bantam roo tries to spur you , you laugh at him because he can only reach the top of your shoe. hahah Keepmumsane, you will have to ask someone else the cons of keeping them. i dont have any.

Daox, 16-20 sounds way off to me. Messaged the seller last night. He said 15-17 days. The pics still aren't in my inbox. I'll have to try and take more.

Here's some pics of the adults.

They only come in one color, and the females don't have that white face, or chocolate tummy.

Keepmumsane, bantams are where it's at! Eggs are great if you like yolks, they make great broodies, you can keep them inside if you want... the only downside I can think of is how little meat on their bones there is compared to large fowl. I agree with granny about the rooster thing. They're so cute when they make their cranky calls and jump at you!
