Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

you can just look at them from the shoulders down i guess! you must get used to looking at them because all i see now is the colors and they have great personalities.
 
From what I can find they are called a Acryllium, they are a distant cousin of the Guinea so they cross bread em and it's called a Vulturine Guinea.....I want some!!
I saw someone in the fall selling the crossed eggs on ebay but they were really expensive!!
 
The size makes me highly doubtful its quail, though my flock did lay an odd egg that looked like that in color once. I hatched guineas once and it doesn't really seem like a guinea egg, but I'm not a guinea expert. I have never seen or hatched a chukar egg, though its on my bucket list.

Well, I managed to get a picture of Pip's rather skittish mama, Blondie. She's only nine months old, so she's still got some growing to do as an orpington!


Caught her scratching at the butterfly bush outside her coop... naughty hen.
