Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

You guy probably think I'm making this up but I raise bamboo too.

Yes granny you want clumping, not running, I had both but my clumping flowered which kills it.

I gathered some seed but have not tried to restart it, flowering in bamboo is extremely rare it only happens every 70-120 years depending on variety.

running bamboo is difficult to control even with barriers you must cut the rhizomes back every spring or they'll get across.

most all bamboo originates in china but there is one indigenous to north america.

its a clumper too and does not get too big in the phylum arundinera spelling might be off I don't speak latin

The only bamboo I ever had was Lucky bamboo on my desk in my windowless office at the state :( Needed almost nothing to maintain, unlike me who after 5 years begin to wither lol

I finally ordered a real incubator should be here Wednesday thinking maybe I should incubate duck eggs rather than having campbell ducklings shipped. I've never incubated anything but quail so not sure, now if I had Starkasm's new incubator I would definitely but I'm a cheap chic and ordered a Hovabator

yes, i read of that. a bit pricey. will it take all the fertilize?

I dont know, my birds are indoors on wire the fertilizer goes to a large compost pile.

I believe if memory serves the cane you'll want is Arundinera Gigantia (or something real close lol)

its about 1/2" to 5/8" max diameter and about 6-7 feet max height it produces a kind of scruffy foilage but its still nice, it would be a good choice for a live fence too.

OH you dont have to pay big money for it its common name is "river cane" find a farmer with a year round stream, I'll bet you can find some

its easy to move at least much more so than runners.
