Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

Lol, granny he's a bully to that poor cat. He's always sitting on him and pecking at his tail. The cat seems to think he's just trying to cuddle, lol.

Quail jailer, I would separate the finches from the cockatiels. My sister had finches, and she was advised against getting a cockatiel as a cage-mate for it, because apparently they're prone to chewing. I'm not sure if that's true or not, but it's better safe than sorry.

Yeah, I'm thinking that's probably what I should do. So far everyone is getting along just fine, but as you said, better safe than sorry. If I can find a place to put the finches, I'll move them.

And does anyone know what to do for a partially scalped chicken? She managed to get cut up pretty badly. Her comb is just dangling in front of her face. She seems to be eating and drinking, but isn't that active and seems a bit shocked. :/

put her in some warm water and add some dumplins. lol blu-coat, clean wounds with antibiotic no pain relief kinds . and heat light. shock is bad. try not to mess with her until she can over come it

Hen seems a little more alert today. I have her in a dog kennel separate from the other chickens. I'm not entirely sure what to do about the comb, though. I mean, it's literally dangling in front of her face. Is there anything at all I can do about that? She doesn't seem to like it (can't blame her). Part of the comb seems to be turning black, as well. Does anyone know why that is? Is it an infection or something else?

well, i have never done it but look up dubbing. sounds like what you need to do. basically finish the cut, tend the wound, keep her calm and separate.

True. It might do more harm than good, but at least it would give her a better chance. Going to have to convince my father this is a good idea. It's technically his bird, but I end up being the go-to vet in this household nine times out of ten.

I wish I knew what caused this. I'm nearly positive it wasn't another hen. This girl is at the very top of the pecking order. I'm not sure if it was some kind of predator. I'll probably be checking the yard for hazards over the next few days.
