Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

It would be too much trouble to build another pen to put a rooster next to him, and I am not going to put another WITH him. When he first hit adolescence there was another rooster and he was hurt bad. He was nearly blinded and scalped.

well, i dont know anything about quail but i do see a pen that would only need a board in the middle to divide it if it would help

Thanks. I have 13 quail total in there. I'm not too worried about the egg thing. I hatch them for fun. I don't require fertile eggs for profit. I'll consider trying something different if theres still no mojo come springtime. Maybe get or make a smaller pen and move him and a few of the ladies for company and get a replacement roo.

oh i wish i had a good camera and knew how to use it. i worked very hard on my coops this year decorating them to make them look "cute". i have built this coop from the ground up working on it for the past 2 yrs. and i just put trim around the roof (havent painted that part yet) but i do belive that is all that is left. i bought a metal wall hanging today like the rustic stars, but it is quite large and round and has a big roo on it. wish someone besides me was looking at it to give their opinion.

Oopsies! Two days in a row I've forgotten about the family photo.

Well, I thought I'd give you guys an update. Pip has really taken a liking to her new role as "mama hen" to the young 'uns, haha. Unfortunately, I had to separate Moose from the group. Pip pecked at him once, and the others started playing follow the leader. Poor little fella.

I would, but now I'm down to one incubator since the lid to my back up is broken. Moose has been using it as his brooder since he can't seem to stay as warm as the big chicks. Less fat and fluff, I guess. There's just no room for eggs at the moment. Unfortunately, that means I'll have to hold off on that grocery store experiment for another two weeks or so.
