Possible Guinea Eggs in "Quail" Batch?

mmmm.... wish you were my mommy on halloween . i got a little thrill on devil's night , on my way to hospital, was by myself, that never happens, had the radio busting and it was interruped with news that the police were chasing a felon in nebraska, IN. and the dogs were after him as well, i looked up and guess what? im in nebraska and out of the blue a dog runs in front of my car.hahaha i was never so glad to get to where i was going.

Woah, that's pretty crazy granny! Was it the polices' dog? And yeah, I'll probably just start it over in a new thread and lock this one.

Lol granny you have some luck!!

Aww Cheyen, that's kinda sad to see this thread go. It's where I got to know you guys!

Aw, guys. Don't worry, I'm not leaving you! We can still talk as much as you want in the new thread, and if you don't want that I have no problem keeping this one up. It just seemed silly to keep a thread about chukars in the quail section.

I vote to leave it as is! You're still going to get some random eggs right? Well those could possibly be quail or dinos! So it would fit right in here! And anyone that comes across this thread will get to see how Moose is doing and how it all happened from the beginning!

Moose is getting way too hyper lately. He's a jumper! He's already given me a heart attack twice jumping out his brooder and onto the floor which, thankfully, is carpeted. I've since moved his brooder at floor level so the crazy thing doesn't hurt himself, lol.

Pip is doing a great job looking after the five morpington chicks that hatched, although she does pick at them some. I don't think she's quite grasped the idea that they're chickens, too. She goes for the poor things' eyes all the time. Hoping she grows out of that habit soon.

We ended up putting a net over our brooder Cheyen. Once I walked over to the incubator (other side of the room from the brooder) and when I turned to go back there was a chukar at my heels! I had all kinds of panic because I kept thinking I had walked by him, over him something and could have squashed him!! The second time there was one sitting by the dogs water dish and the final straw was when I walked in the house and my Malamute was looking down at the floor, like "look what I found".... she was staring at a loose chukar! We put a light netting over them after that!!!

My incubator is his brooder for right now, since he has trouble keeping warm under just a heat lamp. My problem was that he flew out whenever I opened it to feed him. I usually keep the incubator off the floor because otherwise the cats lay all over it (nice and warm, I guess). He'll have to deal with the furballs blocking his view of the outside world until he feathers out a bit, lol.
