Haha, I meant work that I missed and have to make up! Makeup might have been a good idea this morning, though.

Unfortunately, Pip is grounded and missed her photo shoot opportunity because of it. She flew out of her brooder, and onto some towels that were folded up near it. One of the towels fell onto the brooder's heat lamp and started a fire! Let's just say her brooder's no longer with us, nor is the towel... and part of my wall. Luckily, my aunt was home when it happened, so everyone is okay. It's going to cost a few dollars in paint to fix that wall, though...

Now I've got chicks running around because there's nowhere to put them right now! No more towels near the brooder!

Lol, luckily it just left a burnt smudge on the wall. No need to get insurance involved.

Pip is such a little brat! She's got the most personality in a chicken I've ever seen, and not necessarily in a good way. It doesn't matter that they all look the same.. Pip's personality makes her stick out like a sore thumb in her flock!

i cant belive that happened to you cheyen, i would have been scared. what the world are you gonna do with the babies? i have seen where people use rubbermaid storage but i allways thought that would be a fire hazard. lol

Well, I found a cat carrier in the storage room. They'll have to live in there until I can get something new set up this weekend. I hope Pip's proud of her handiwork, 'cause that cat carrier's only about a third the size of their brooder.
