Sorry about your son and the Crohns. My nephew has crohns. He nearly died until they could get it under control. He is doing well these days, but it took years to get him on his feet again. Hope your boy is ok. :)

Time to start bringing out the tools! Nothing more fun that building a NEW COOP and RUN!

We did it last year in the dead of winter. Why? God only knows! It was bitter cold, snow was flying, our hands froze the the hammers, BUT, the end product was more room for more chickens!

i know thats what i need to do but i have it to do by myself. and ya, its cold. was thinking i might start making 4 by 8 frames in the pole barn with chicken wire attached untill i get a few done then then try to hire someone to help me screw them together. i have some igloos was thinking about using and cover part of the run later. what ya think??

Those igloos are plastic aren't they? Plastic sweats. Don't do it! The chickens will get frost bite and be wet at night during the winter. You will just have to bring the excess birds inside the house.
