Lol,those are the freshest eggs because of the precipitation we got. Guess well see what pops out! If anything lol

looks like that game we used to play with checkers I think it was called connect 4. When the game was done you flipped a lever and they all fell out the bottom. Are none of them supposed o be touching??? Just not real friendly with each other?? I wouldn't think the poopy ones would hurt although it will stain the egg shell, think of it as the chicks having built in curtains or umbrella from the light. GOOD LUCK

Hahaha! I spread them out throughout he incubator to help keep the temperature more steady. It's just a Styrofoam hovabator. I think it can use all the help it can get lol.
I don't have room to put pretty shiny rocks in it!

Arnie the quail is back! Eating, with gusto, swelling shrinking, moving, amazing!

His evil twin is in solitary. Hurling abuse. I put him in the old rabbit run..our dog who never ate the rabbit, watches the other quail and hangs out with my hens, broke in and tried to eat him.
So hes now sitting in the cat cage awaiting a council flat, or a big flat mushroom..

So Awesome to have you all here to advise and console.

tic,tac,toe, four in a row. i spent hrs. playing that w/ my son. i was very glad when he out grew it. yep, connect 4. arent you a little ,well, old for that game?

No pips at all. I guess that's it for me.

I'm not gonna try quail again unless I can get the eggs locally. I think my best bet will be to try and get adults at the spring swap. Daox, you should try and go it's a lot of fun. I'll have a table this year, so that should be exciting.
