I haven't heard from anyone but you in forever, granny! Looks like we're all alone, lol.

School is going okay, math is a lot better now that I have a new teacher, so no plans on dropping out (like ever!). The hardest classes I have right now are my gym classes. They're the last class of the day, and then I have to walk home, so I'm absolutely exhausted when I get home. I have to save all my homework for the morning because I'm too tired to do it at night, lol.

Congrats on the eggs! 4 ain't so bad, hopefully you get some girls.

Hi you guys, I STILL can`t post, or I would come in and yak with you. Gorgeous chooks, Granny! Cheyen, I went through a lizard-keeping phase also, and still would, but don`t have time really. Is that a leopard gecko? Very pretty. Those worms can bite, though. They have some choppers on the front end, and I know when I`ve picked them up they whip around and try to get me.

Now this probably won`t post. . . .

cheyan, !!!!! I have an extra very cute tiny rooster. what can i do w/ him? he is all alone in a broody cage. cant give him away because my flock was sick. cant kill/eat him. sooo?

Aw, poor little guy! I can't imagine eating such a tiny little thing, anyway. You wouldn't get more than a nugget, lol.

You can try introducing him to a flock, even if it already has a big rooster. Bantam roosters are especially good at adapting when there's a big rooster around, and in my experience all a big rooster has to do to establish a pecking order is a quick chase and maybe a peck on the head. I've never seen injuries worse than their pride suffering, lol.

Right now I have two bantam roosters and one standard in one pen. There are also three standard hens, and five bantam hens. The big guy is only interested in ladies his own size, so the little gals are safe from harm. The two bantam roosters are too submissive with the big rooster to do any breeding of their own, so the five little gals are also safe from mobbing, while the three standards are too big for them to mount anyway. Everything works out!
