I have two chickens of the EXACT same description so I will describe as one for simplicity’s sake.
I have an 11-week old Brahma hen that I think has hip dysplasia. Her right hip is looser and sits further back than the right, and when she walks, the right leg is further out from her body and she walks on the side of her foot. (Picture attached of her normal standing position)
I noticed this a month ago but thought maybe all the mud was making her wobbly. Now I realize that this seems to be an injury/defect.
I have two girls that are exactly like this, my seven other hens are different breeds and have no trouble. I have never had Brahmas so I don’t know if I was supposed to treat them differently?
I’d like to treat them myself if possible. Does anyone have recommendations on treating this?
