So I hatched my first batch of 5 incubated ducklings last week, 2 were fully assisted, and one of those had rye neck ( badly). Poor bug couldn't walk, did somersaults, and her head was flat against her back. After reading all the amazing posts on here I went out in search of th elusive Polyvisol without iorn to save my baby! Six stores later and a lot of panic later no such thing as Polyvisol without iorn in Podunk Nowhere NC. I did however find Wellements Organic Multivitamin Drops at our local grocery store. After struggling to get one drop into this tiny little runner duckling we let her sit in the incubator and lo and behold a half hour later she was looking good. So we continued to but several drops in the water bottles we use to fill the water containers in the broader, especially since this product also contains Niacin (0.71 mg per ml). Happily at been a week and everyone is doing well including Rhino the rye neck duckling. I wanted to post about it because heaven knows who else has been driving around for hours looking for Polyvisol in Podunk Nowhere having a panic attack over a sick duckling😁! Not sure if its as good as the tried and true Polyvisol without iron but it worked for us!
