That could defenitly work. We can't exactly free range but we have multiple large runs that could work with that.

I pen my chicks in the coop or shed for about a week so everyone gets a look at them, than I begin supervised mingling. I separate them out if it gets rough. Since my shed and coop are big generally no one much bothers my chicks. They get a peck here and there. I lock them up at night and when I can't be around for another week or two, than I start letting them mingle and roost.Thank you for your help. I knew some folks who had chicks that were "bullied to death" and I guess I'm worried about the same thing. I've just heard from people when intergrating they should all be the same size or at least not be itty bitty. How do you introduce your chickens to each other?

It's natural for young chicks to show up in a flock and they are mostly accepted as someone's chicks. Wait too long and try integrating older birds and they become intruders in the territory and it becomes harder.
I got itty bitty chicks running amongst my flock, and they are starting to free range at 5-6 weeks old.
