One of my Easter Eggers has been walking around funny the past week or so, like it needs to squat and either lay or poop. When I first felt the stomach and vent, I could feel an egg, but nothing broken. I put some hemorrhoid cream on, and a couple days ago, she laid an enormous egg. Now she is squatting again, only worse. It is affecting her mobility now. I can;t feel anything in the stomach or vent? Could she have injured herself?

It is possible. Maybe she has a nother double yolker in there, or she is sore from the first one.

Does her vent look injured? Do you have any pics?

Is her vent actually prolapsed? Pictures would be very helpful.

Have any of her eggs had blood on them?

I'd give her a warm steam-bath in the sink. This usually helps hens who are having trouble laying to pass the egg.

Best of luck with her
