Update: I flipped him over again, made sure everything was nice and clean, and used ointment and ky and gently slipped it back in. It may have just been the tip, it was only about 1/4 of an inch, maybe even less.

This 30 degree drop in temperature every day plus molting may have something to do with it. We have 50 degrees during the day and 20 by the evening.

Just the tip was sticking out when I flipped him over today, but it seemed much less red and inflamed. I'm putting all three of them in the tub (good, clean, warm water) and am going to put ointment on it again and make sure it's back in place.

I nudged it back into place once he was all clean, and so far, it's still in. A little bit of pucker around the area, but nothing protruding after the bath. He was happy and splashing in the tub, and he's acting okay, so that's good. It's thunderstorming outside, so they're all happy to be in, which helps, as well.

He's only 7 months, and this is his first big molt. I wonder if he snagged his equipment while preening down there and that's what started it?
