I have 8 chickens..all are suppose to be pullets/hens. Aged 9 weeks to 13 months. I have two silkies Laying ...today I got two eggs with clear bulls eyes. With no signs of obvious roosters. No crowing now mounting been seen.. no mean behavior..no red big combs. Idk what's up. Plus I would think they are still too young to be making babies. These are my only two that might be questionable..are either of these roos?
New Hampshire red is like 15-17 ish weeks
Oliver egger is 16-18 ish weeks

Can he fertilized eggs before he starts crowing?

Apparently! :p Or you may not be hearing the crows...their first ones are pretty rusty. Our eight-week-old cockerel was doing practice crows at random times that we could barely hear outside the coop.
