Possible Slipped Tendon

Hello all,
I have a 4 day old Jubilee Orpington chick with possible slipped tendon. I have seen/dealt with splay leg but this is my first slipped tendon. Any advice in how to slip back into place and stabilize and any success stories would be great for encouragement also

I've treated a few with slipped tendon, and the only time I did it successfully was when I put the chick in a sling for a few days. You could try to make something like this:

So should the leg be wrapped in a straight position or slightly bent in a more natural position?

Why do you think it's a slipped tendon? Can you post a close up photo of it?

Sometimes it is difficult to tell a slipped tendon from other leg deformities or an injury. There is not a lot of success in treating leg deformities, but probably worth trying. Here are more links to read that may help:

If the hock is swollen, it's almost certainly slipped tendon. The problem is that once the hock become too swollen the tendon will not "snap" back into place, but either way, one should be able to very clearly feel if it's not in the center of the hock.
