So I've been candling my eggs, I have both chicken and duck eggs in my incubator. The past few days I've noticed 2 of my duck eggs have 2 separate dark spots that are moving in different directions, this is a first for me. I'm quite worried that they might be twins as the eggs aren't that big to begin with, they have maybe 2.5 weeks left to hatch. I haven't had much luck hatching surviving ducks in the past two years, this isn't something I've ever dealt with before.

1. I don't know if they'd survive, I know there isn't much space for twins in the first place.

2. I know these might be crossbreed babies. I have 2 male Khaki Campbells, so I know one of them is the father (unless one of my roosters magically got the job done as there is 5 roosters with my ducks), for females there is 1 female Khaki, 2 Appleyard's, 2 Orpingtons and 1 Ancona. So, no idea who the mom is till the babies hatch.

3. If they end up being twins and survive, what would I be looking at?

sorry I don't have any pictures or videos at the moment, I will try to post pictures/vids later.

I highly doubt that the roosters are the fathers. Twins in an egg are very rare, but maybe at least one will survive. I’m definitely following this thread!

The first three pictures is of the first egg the last two pics is of the second egg. Hope this helps those looking at the eggs

I wonder will one twin absorb the other, then you could get a chimera chick with two sets of DNA
Twins like this is like ferternal twins in people, they aren’t identical so no absorbing the other.

I’ve been trying to share videos of my eggs but it’s not wanting to add them here -_-

Interested to see what happens.
I got videos posted; I found a third egg last night that might have twins. movement in these eggs are completely different than the other eggs. I didn't get to candle these guys till last week so didn't see first development to confirm twins from the beginning as I had a hen sitting on them for a while till, she stopped.
