Possible White Eye Peahen?

@KsKingBee Thank you a lot!!! I got the fourth egg hatched today and again pied from the same pair!!! 🤩🥳
Now I'm thinking of changing the male and replace it with this one in the picture for her next egg cycle.. I'm assuming he is IB Black shoulder Pied, I see white eye only in the middle of his train but I'm not sure if he is WE.. would you recommend this combination? I'm obsessed of getting pied WE chicks!!! 😁

Stay the course with the White cock. Changing cocks will only confuse the issue as the sperm from the White can stay in the hen for two weeks or more. You have a better chance to make Pied WE with the White cock. Using the BS Pied WE cock will also produce more Dark Pied, split to either White or Pied all carrying perhaps only one gene for WE or none.

@KsKingBee
Here's an update on my peachicks. I successfully hatched six peachicks from this hen, and it appears that all of them are Pied White-Eyed (WE). Initially, they seemed to be developing into Silver Pied White-Eyed (SP WE) Peafowl, but as they continue to grow, I can observe that their feathers are gaining more color.

Update:

After 4 months, I've observed that 2 out of these peachicks are actually peahens.

Their plumage is taking on a more silver hue than I had anticipated.

Attached is a picture of one of my 4-month-old peahens; she should be a Pied White Eye.

Has anyone else encountered similar coloration in their peafowl at this age?

@KsKingBee Thank you!
Just a quick question... Why do only the females exhibit this silver hue? The other three males appear to be normal pied with a hint of frosting on their feather tips.

By the way, I lost their mother this summer under unknown circumstances; she passed away without displaying any signs of illness.

I paired her (Dark Pied peahen) with my new (Pied Blackshoulder WE peacock) towards the end of the season, as my white peacock shed his train feathers early. I have obtained 3 peachicks: one Pied peahen and 2 unsexed IB with white flight feathers..
Any insights on their genetics?

You make an interesting observation about the hens silvering and a cock not being silver. I don't know if there is an answer but the more silver the hen has the better chance of her being a double WE hen. And of course, a SP cock will have double WE will have silver in his saddle.

Sperm can be held much longer in a hen than most people realize, I have read of a hen being fertile two months after a cock was removed from her pen. So some or all of those chicks could have come from either of the two cocks.
