Hello,

I’m new to this website but I’m looking for advice.
My Japanese quail recently injured her beak.

Her jaw is slightly twisted which has made it difficult and painful for her to rip apart food.
Thankfully she CAN eat and drink.
So I kept her inside for two days to keep a close eye on her and I then put her back with her flock :,)
I understand that it is a minor injury, I just want her to eat comfortably again.

does anyone know what I can do? A8608535-EEEE-4214-A9CB-7D1E519DD06D.jpeg

How is she getting along? It's important with birds that have crooked beaks, that their feed and water dishes be plenty wide and deep for easy eating.

She’s still eating and drinking normally, she just has a weak grip. But currently her beak is swollen which has twisted it slightly more.
