I don't have an answer for this post, however, after reading the responses it brings to mind a rather disturbing accident that lead to a city's signature. Back in the early 1980's, a truck driven by illegal immigrants from Mexico, carrying illegally smuggled Amazon parrots, crashed on the 22 freeway in Orange, CA. The parrots all escaped, and immediately congregated at the local park, Hart Park. This is 2010. Those parrots have multiplied like you wouldn't believe and still live in the trees of that park. At first neighbors complained, when they realized the beauty of their gift, they shut up.
