This is something on the order of what I want to do for mine. Though for mine I am going to use a self filling container of water (dog dish style waterer with a float valve designated for the chickens). The water levels for each will be the same so in order to adjust the water level in the coop you just raise or lower the self fill container.
Okay.. that very last pic looked like you were making little drinking fountains for them.. Sorry, not enough coffee yet.. LOLOLOL I couldn't figure out how you were going to get the water to stay at the top level without it overflowing... Off to go get some java...so I can think straight
when we connect the piping to the bucket/reservour that will be outside the coop for easier filling then it will create an airtight seal. it should work just like the other waterer i have, when air reaches the bucket, then water with replace it the keep the water level the same. hopefully
we r pretty much playing this by ear. and will update when new developments arise
Have pretty much the same setup except we just drilled like 3 inch holes in main PVC and put a float in one end. Works great and didn't freeze this winter.
ooo i cant wait to see how this works, i have been trying to figure out a way to make one connected automatic waterers for my breeder pens. this is automatic right?? once its set up please post pics!!
