Possum Bait??

Possums love cat food, I have also heard that tuna fish works well.

All the above works well, but if you get in a situation where you need to rebait the trap often, a couple whole eggs will catch almost anything, especially possums, coons, and several other predators. The eggs last about a month and aren`t messy to deal with. Most eveyone with chickens has eggs. Good luck.......Pop

A really juicy hot dog left in the hot sun with it soaking in juice for about 3 hours. DO this and I guarntee you will catch that possum. Guarntee it. You might not like it but oh man. I did this and I caught, 3 baby possum, 1 momma possum and a huge raccoon. I have not reset the trap but nothing bothering anything so i will not worry about it. Good Luck with it! Dusty (FF)

I use dog food. Never failed, doesn't cost any extra. Even cought my own dog once & the neighborhood cat! Thank goodness for LIVEtraps!

Everyone told me raw chicken - so when the time came to catch our offending opossum I left a piece of raw chicken our at room temp, got it nice and stinky and it worked like a charm! Opossum caught! I tried it again the next night and caught the neighbors dog.

And, no, he did not get dispatched like the opossum did.
