post any and all waterfowl pictures here!!! ponds, pools, aviarys, coops, runs, etc.

Not sure if I can match the fuzzy cuteness of ducklings, but I though Goldie did a fairly good job of holding an elegant pose while surveying her garden

I love this! your ducks look so refined! She certainly seems to adore her flowers.

We got 2 new ducklings today. Can anyone guess what they are?

I am leaning towards Cayugas maybe? I haven't seen black ducklings in there before. I have seen plenty of Pekins, some Mallards, and a few Khaki campbells, but this is the first time I have seen black. I know the pictures aren't that great and I will try to take some better ones later this afternoon after they are all rested.

Pretty sure they are khakis. I had one until a hawk got her and loved her.

Ducks/geese playing in the mud puddle. Hubby thinks they need it and keeps digging it deeper and refilling it with the hose each day.

The ducks do love digging around and eating all the worms, but they have a perfectly good kiddie pool so I think they'd be ok without their mud puddle.

Please do post more pictures, I am going to agree with you and say cayugas, second guess would be khaki Campbell's like JulieNKC said. Congrats on the new baby's! And welcome to BYC! (smiley button not working)

they look pretty brown in these pictures but they aren't brown at all. They are black with yellow on their chest/bellies. Their bills and feet are black as well. They had khaki campbells in there when we got our Pekins and runner and these are WAY darker then those. I would be happy with either although having something a little more rare would be neat too. The Cayugas are really pretty. I will post some more pictures later this evening when we go outside (It is really hot here and they won't be out long and watched SUPER close). I worry about hawks and other preditors so much when they are outside but I don't think they would come with all of us out in the yard and the ducks so close to us. I am interested to see what our 3 older (3 weeks old) ducks think of these babies.
