I picked up another set of ducklings today. This set is my DD's for 4-H. TSC said they were both Mallards but the black one doesnt look like a mallard. HHmmmm ideas on what it is?

They are beautiful!! I dont have experience with other breeds of ducks, but they look like runners to me. Where did you get them?

Thanks! I wish they were runners. Im not sure what they are. So I got them from my local feed store and they were the only two left I was told they had one more week and they would be sent somewhere thats not to nice to ducks. So I got them. I was told one may be a Cayuga and the other I dont remember. Lol

I want to see what they are going to turn out to be.

They are adorable scarlett, and could they be swedish? I don't know much about other breeds besides muscovy but maybe swedish, hopefully someone else that knows will give their opinon..

Thats what I'm thinking now also. I was talking to another duck person and they pointed out the two stripes at the eyes so now we're thinking we have a Rouen and a Cayuga

No they look alot like my little one. The little yellow ducklings look alot like when I got her and I can see lighter part of her neck coming in. I think she may be one of those. Time will tell.
