Newley hatched duckling Now we have 9 ducks. The eggs I incubated were suppose to be Rouens but this baby is totally not a rouen. I'm thinking Silver Appleyard, what do you guys think?

ETA: Well I emailed the person I bought the eggs from and she says she only has Rouens and Pekins so looks like baby is a mix.

Buried the stock tank yesterday so the ducks would have a new pool. It's not level, but it's in there lol. Didn't get the dirt packed good enough and one side settled more. They are loving it though, already have the water all dirty and half splashed out.

Poor geese are too big to do much besides sit in the water so I'm still trying to find a kiddie pool for them.

good pictures! what breed of ducks are thoes? I want to burry my "pool" to but then I run into the problem of emptying the pool and the baby ducks and goslings getting into it then drowning cause the adults empty if within minutes.

Call ducks. I'll be adding a ramp leading out of the water when I have babies, but there aren't any out there right now and the ducks in there aren't having any problems. It works pretty good, there's a hose connected to the drain that drains most of the water, then I just have to bucket out the last 6 inches or so of mucky water.
