post any and all waterfowl pictures here!!! ponds, pools, aviarys, coops, runs, etc.

These are my precious babies Dee(the yellow one) and Deuce(the brown one)
Dee is a Indian Runner, and I'm not to sure what Deuce is. Lol.
I'm also not sure on how old they are. I've only had them for a few weeks. They are the first kind of birds that I've had in years besides chickens that my parents raise.
Unfortunatley, Dee was eaten by a large snake today. :/
She was absolutely precious. Followed me around everywhere and would hop up on me and even talk back to me, lol.
Deuce on the other hand is not so friendly. But today he has gotten attached to me since Dee is gone.
She will be missed very much by both of us.

Awwww....so sorry about little Dee. And Deuce (what a cutie pie!!) will definitely bond with you now. Ducks are like chickens ~ super social! And addictive, so I'm sure Deuce will have company before long.

Here is my new collection of ducks...the two pekins (Ethel and Afflack) I've had since they were wee yellow fluffy things. That was about two months ago. LOL.

New the the grouping are Lady Beatrice (Bea) and little Button. What a wonderful, quacky collection of quirky critters we have!

You can *just* start to see Button's tuft coming up on the left. She is so darn cute...but what duckling isn't??

Ok I knew your mallards are about the same age as mine and yours has the male coloring now. I have finally figured out the sex of mine then. I have females I knew one was a female because of the quake, but they are so quiet it was rare to hear them make any sound after the peeping stage.

Beautiful ducks by the way

If your refering to my mallards, I wouldnt go by the one male. He is just genetically different than the rest for some reason. He is alot bigger, no white ring on his neck, and molted super early. I am actually wondering if he is part rouen maybe, or just different. My other two males have not molted yet but one is just now starting to on his belly.

How old are your mallards? Do you have recent pics?

Yes I was going by your mallards I thought I quoted your post but I guess I didn't. I have been trying to get some recent pics but I can't get them to hold still for a min. I will try to get one this evening. They are a little over 3 months, Easter babies.
