I have 4 austrolorpe/americauna mix eggs, and 24 sl eggs. I know at least 12 are rocking. I'll be happy if I only get the 12 to hatch. This is a first time hatching and a homemade incubator. I already have BO and Americauna eggs lined up for next week, so I already have the fever.

I have 6 eggs due to hatch 2/3. I don't feel good about this. The eggs are just about too dark for candling with what I have, so I'm just hoping and praying. Good luck to the rest of you....Next time will be different.

If your eggs are too dark for candleing, that's a real good sign there's something in there.

ncgnance we're neighbors!! Catawba County here. I checked my eggs again, and I have at least 18 rocking. Yippeee. I didn't even think I'd even get any to develope, much less get this far.

I have 4 chicks hatched now, 2 BR's, 1 JG, 1 sebright.

There is another BR pipped and a cochin bantam that started to zip (the chicks bowled the eggs around and now I can't see the zip cause it's on the bottom)

thought they were due tomorrow, but woke up to three pips and now I have one silkie hatched and one pipped and 2 Naked Neck Pips!!! Plenty more to go Yey!!!!
