My chicks are scheduled to come on thursday from IDEAL. I'm getting Australorps, Silverlaced Wyandottes, Golden Laced Wyandottes, Barred Rocks, Speckled Sussex, And Delewares. I got extra just in case some died so I'll be keeping only 6.

Yea.... Mine came in yesterday and all but one doing great.. one hen has spraddleleg but she is coming around and we have our fingers crossed.

I have put in my order with someone on here who is hatching some chicks for me, since I don't have an incubator!

And here is what I am getting:

5 barred rocks
10 Welsummers
5 blue andalusians

I think I am going to end up getting some Gold Lakenvelders, too. DD has decided to do FFA next year, and I think those would be great for her to show!

I am planning on going to the feed store and getting some Buff Orps and some Easter Eggers. Unless I can find someone shipping real Aracaunas that's not halfway across the country!

Yes, I'm finally going to get chickens!

I've wanted some for as long as I can remember but my parents wanted to wait until I could take care of them by myself(mostly)
My mom orders chickens every year for people at here work and oddly enough we never got chickens. But finally we are getting some from Cackle Hatchery!
Heres what I'm going to get:
5 Partrige Rock
5 New Hampshire
5 White Wyn.
5 Silver Laced Wyn.,
5 Barred Rock

they are coming by mail I just think it's so funny that you can ship them

I got the call at 6am Monday morning that my chicks were at the PO waiting for me from McMurray. I have 6 black australorps and 4 Rhode Island Reds. I went in on an order with other people...so there were 28 total. I had 5 RIRs, but I lost one a couple days ago. The rest are doing well.

Picked up 10 BO chicks on Wednesday the 11th from Mt. HealthyvHatchery. If you are near Cincinnati I would highly recommend them since you can pick them up, but I'm sure they're fine when it comes to shipping as well. I got ducks from them last year for my pond.

I'm gonna buy from a local feed store this spring. I'm hoping to get: Buff Orpingtons
Barred Rocks Partridge Rocks Silver Laced Wyandottes Silkies Sebrights maybe some Japs. I hope they'll have a good variety.
