aghh! don't even remind me of the speckled sussex

I saw like 3 hens that were 1 year old and they were speckled sussex and those I have in "My breed list" I should of gotten them!!!

I want time to go back!

i got mine from "bargain" on byc ,, and for baby chicks,, these things RUN to ya,, lol,, they've got to be the friendliest chicks i have ever had !!

Mine have hatched at a local farm. We are picking them up early spring and they should be just about ready to begin laying. We will be first time Chicken owners and spring can't come soon enough. Hubby just brought home the fencing to build out the run...as soon as the ground thaws!

I am hatching as I write this. I currently have 8 Barnies, 7 Delawares, and 4 BO/RSL cross which lay huge, dark brown eggs and make my favorite dual purpose birds. They are an even reddish-gold color and grow very big. They lay an egg a day and make good stew hens when done laying. More on the way!
