Hey everybody , not to change the subject, but Im off to the feed store in a min. to get the supplies for my babies that will be here in a couple of days . Yesterday I picked up the pine shavings, grit, waterer, feeder, and the box to brood them in, heat lamp and light bulbs, they only had a 50lb bag of chick starter so Im going to the feed store to pick up a smaller bag, is there anything else Im forgetting??? Please help me , If there is anything i don't like , it is getting caught at the last min being unprepaired!! Thanks and sorry if this is posted in the wronge spot! Stormy

Ok, let's see if I can remember everything.....

I have three incubators going (using one as a hatcher cause I got staggered hatches) I have one pip this morning - the eggs in the bators are all from my chickens and my button quail.

I have 11 button eggs due in a week, and 8 more due in two weeks.

I have 22 chicken eggs hatching right now - very mixed, since they are my own eggs, but some of them are from my Delaware and light Brahma coop - cant wait to see that mix.

I have 7 more mixed chicken eggs I just stopped turning today. I also have 22 mixed chicken eggs I just set yesterday.

I have 20 Blue swedish Ducklings coming from Ideal next weekend, and 15 Delaware pullet chicks coming in early March from Cackle hatchery.

I'm waiting for my Jumbo Quail to begin laying, so I can set some of their eggs, too. (ought to start laying in another couple weeks).

In the playpen I have three chicks - one Black Australorp mixed with Welsummer, and two Welsummer mixed with Easter Eggers (I've been told that these are called Olive Eggers). These three are about three weeks old.

I have Ameracaunas coming from MacMurray Feb 22 and Rhode Island Reds and BOs coming from Ideal Feb 21. Plus the babies hatching who should be coming out of the bator on the 20th that makes roughly 140-150 chicks by this time next month....wait, there is no THIS time next month....
