POST OFFICE LOST RESCUED BIRDS!

Did anyone call the Expedited shipping office? http://www.usps.com/send/waystosendmail/extraservices/specialhandlingservice.htm

Their
number is at the bottom of this link in an Excel ss, depending on the zip code they were shipped from. Tell them the situation and see if they can help.

Folks, we have to remember that once the 'lives' are placed in the FedEx's hands, there is not much the PO can do. I have heard of people's birds sitting at the airport because that FedEx carrier would not load them. When were they shipped?

Ozark Hen,
I'm just checking in with you! Hang in there! What would have been their route after leaving Deb's post office and then Indianapolis? Would they have to go through St. Louis or were they suppose to go straight to Springfield?

Any Word ! Hate this part of shipping but I have had several shippments that were not updated with a scan and got there then the shipping info was updated - There is hope just keep calling

I just had this happen to me from Virginia. It took 3 days and there were no records except the day and time they were checked in. It took 3 days to get my birds. I checked with the main Express Mail PO(That is who they go to before your PO gets them) and they called as soon as they came in. If I would have waited on my local PO, it would have been 4 days.

My birds were very lathargic. I gave them water with an medicine dropper(very slowly), gave them yougart, then finally mixing it with crumbles. Be prepared to help them out if it is more than 2 days.

I'm in Missouri too....hummm

Remember, the squeaky wheel get the grease. I would raise such a commotion that they would declare tomorrow an official holiday!!!!!! Keep at 'em!!! This crap makes me furious and these are not even my birds.

Crap a doodle doo!!!
I'd call every flippin PO between hither and yon...
How the heck can you lose a package that's making noise?!
And doom on the Postal workers that don't give a crap!
Please please keep us posted...
If FedEx didn't take the box with the birdies, where the heck is it?
Then go from there...and raise HELL!!!

I really hope that someone who loves birdies swiped em...rather than the worst alternative.

Deb and I have been on the phone and emailing all day!! My post office says it should have been scanned when it left Deb's post office. It was not scanned. Deb talked to her post office...they remember the birds..it was just yesterday...and say they left the building..that is where we lose all track of them.
They go to Kansas City and then to Springfield, MO. My post mistress and the supervisor in springfield office have been emailing the other offices...no luck so far. Now Deb found out this afternoon that Indianapolis says...MY ZIP IS NOT ZONED FOR OVERNIGHT EXPRESS AND WHEN THE BIRDS ARE FOUND THEY ARE RETURNING THEM TO DEB! Now I don't care that they are returned to Deb but just please let them be still alive. I told my post mistress about us not being zoned..she said the computer says we are not zoned but we still get them and someone needs to change the computer...now that will take an act of God!!
I have changed the gatorade to pediolyte and have everything ready but I don't think I will be receiving any birds. so sad after all Deb has gone through with them.
