Post Phoenix Pics Please

Are they coming from Cy? I had a rooster that died just a few weeks ago from predation that I was going to use for breeding next spring - he continually molted his tail and saddles, but at times his saddles were some of the most profuse I have ever seen on any phoenix. The silver bantam pullets I got from Cy this spring are very nice also, I would say more so then the white bantam pullets as far as bigger longer tails go.

I actually have OEGB, Phoenix and what I was told is an Ancona ( I have no idea if thats what he is lol) and they all look like they could be brothers because they are the same color.

I agree, there is nothing much prettier than a nice bb red male. I have them in d'anver , a few long crower blends, and of course the phoenix. They just shine like no other color. When the sun hits them just right...man they look good

Saw this and meant to comment on it...??? Forgot

Congrats on the ohiki deal Mandy! Toni and I were talking Sunday and she mentioned it and told me how that all worked out...That sounds like it will be a really nice start up breeding group for you to get. And very glad to see they will be going into your capable hands... you know, someone who knows what they are doing with rare longtails and will cherish them for what they are. Be sure and post up a bunch of pics when you get them!! If things go as planned, I look like I am headed back up to see her again this Saturday. Very excited about it... I love those trips to see her. Me and Aimee both think the world of her... just wish she was a bit closer, ha but then I'd drive her crazy being over all the time!!

Oops... forgot to add....

Now be careful with these ohiki.... you're a large fowl girl I thought??? Some one might mistake you for a bantam lover here before long!!

LOL
Thanks.. I am looking forward to getting them.. Will be great. Actually I really like ohiki..Have for some time.. I love cochins and phoenix.. This is right up my alley. I actually have some bantams already that I am in love with.. They have the most wonderful personalities.. But I breed for onagadori, so I prefer the largefowl in phoenix because I am breeding toward that standard.. Phoenix aren't my breed, I really love onagadori, so I am working that direction.. Phoenix is what I have to work with.. lol. Alot of green legs this year.. Won't be long. Of course I like minohiki too.. And oh yeah, I am also getting a pair of bantam silver phoenix... OF COURSE i LIKE EXTREMES.. SO I HAVE HUGE MALAYS TOO.. LOL.
I am a chicken lover... Here are some pics of the bantams I already have... ko shamo. (feast for the eyes)
