Post Phoenix Pics Please

Second batch in the incubator. I bred my silver roo (who looks gold only without the red on his wings. He isn't gold though as he grows fethers in silver butthead turn goldish) to his 5 silver hens, 1 red hen and 1 cream hen. Anybody able to guess what I'd get?

I have a question. What would be the purpose of breeding Gold to Silver? Just to get better type? Then breed out?
mainly yes, or if you just had 1 rooster of say gold and all your hens were say silvers, you could continue breeding and still get correct colored birds back. But most do it for type improvement. Or color creations. Made my blue silver duckwings off my blue gold duckwings that way

22 phonixe chicks have hatched I know the white ones are the pyled but what do you think the other ones are any guesses? there are bb reds, silver and golden ducklings, and creled

sorry Raven, been offshore fishing since Thursday, just got back in. Wow you did have a great hatch out of them didnt you. The whites could be white or pyles. If they have any oragnish down they are pyles. The others look like mainly bb reds and golds and maybe a silver or two, but certainly most look like bbs and golds from what I can see. Glad they did so good for you. Oh if the crele ones made it for you, they'll have faint white dots on top of the head. some times they can be very hard to see though on colored chicks like these. congrats on them and again so glad they did well for you.

I hear that they also do it for sexlinks. So if you aren't working on a new color, then these wouldn't be able to be used other than in working on improving Goldens? I'm not sure. But I had asked the question and then today while checking on the Phoenix chicks I think I noticed different colors.

I lost my SQ Silver roo last year and replaced him with one I bought at the Stockton show this year and I think see leakage and I think I see a golden. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. I hope so, but I've never had chicks that looked like this and don't know what to make of it. My Silvers have ALWAYS produce very nice Silver chicks. I hate to think that if I'm not just being a worry wart, I may not get anything this year. I was looking forward to the best roo I could produce and show.

so boggy bottom bantams if I did not get the creled or the plyed how do I breed for those two colors? I am sure there is a way of doing it.
I sent several from those, so you should have it. But yep crele is bb red crossed to barred. and red pyle is bb red crossed to dominate white.
I have some of both and will be glad to help you out if you didnt end up with some. Is there and orangish color to the face and or back of any of the white chicks? If so, those will be pyles.
A lot of time on the crele, you have to wait til they get a few feathers in. Once a wing feather or two comes it, you'll see barring on it if it's crele. But since these are the Schubert import line. If you want to keep them pure to the line, just let me get you some from those line. Or you can cross them on your own too, they just wouldnt be the Schuberts then is all

oh, had a brian lock, the whites you have, if they arent pyles already, those are from dominate white based birds, so there's your pyles next year. Just cross them to some of the bb reds, take those white chicks back to bb red the next year and it's done.... just incase you dont already have a couple pyles.
