Post Phoenix Pics Please

I am not sure what the gold Phoenix look like as chicks. They are defiantly feathering the wrong color for silver. Hopefully someone else will chime in.

You might check on feathersite to compare or post on the breed and gender forum and get some guesses. Good luck. They are cute.

Here's my Gold duckwing Phoenix Bantam rooster and hen, what do you all think?

Don't have a clear picture of the hen close up but I think she's better than the rooster? Hopefully I can show them both at some bigger competitions

Thanks, at a local show my hen came first and rooster came second but that was an any other rare breed bantam class not specific to phoenix
They are about 2 yrs old but both did moult last autumn so all is new feathering but hopefully will hatch some chicks this yr as my other hen died so they are in with a chamois polish hen so I hope I have the right eggs.

Bantambury - they look alike to me but I have never raised OEG so not sure where the differences lie. Nice leg color.:D:D

Keep us posted as they feather out.

I tried to eliminate using beak color but both breeds have horn or dusty horn for beak color.

I had forgotten about the baby barring when ours were growing up.

I don't remember the tail carriage being that high with our chicks but that may just be an age thing.

Our OEGB's are the most social of all the breeds we have, IMO you lucked out whatever breed they grow up to be.
