am assuming they really mean onagadori, not however they had it spelled. and furthure more, PURE onagadori "game fowl" ,.... dont think so.
They are nothing like what the pic shows, those are just phoenix mixes, and I dare say no one has 100% pure ones in the US anyway. Those have wrong everything about them to be onags, not 1 thing on them is correct for that super rare breed.
Pretty birds, but they are miss leading customers with all that talk.

Hey aubrey,
Do you think you could give me a few pros and cons on my phoenix roos? Thanks

Silver phoenix bantam
Is his tail held too high? I believe he is the youngest of these guys. Do you think It will improve with age?

lol. Onagadori? None of my business, but they don't even have long tails from what the pic shows. Rooster has an upright tail, no saddles to speak of and looks like a game! Onagadori is a name folks. If I show you a turkey and say it is a pheasant, I would hope you could tell the difference. Again Onagadori is a breed and it is just a name when used on a bird as pictured in this auction listing. We need to educate ourselves. If you know your birds you can look at a photo and know what you are getting basically. Marc King has a great site for education on onagadori. onagadori.com

Has anyone ever heard of an ONAGODRI????
this guy should be slapped for even getting on the internet. his chickens are not even longtails, and he can't spell. yet he has some for sale and says they get 30 foot tails, but his rooster doesn't because he keeps it trimmed short. Hmmm. I am calling BS on this one.

I hope no one ever accidentally lets this guy have some decent birds, seeing how he is unable to correctly represent what he does have.

[/img]I have done that .I would not recommend investing all the time and effort. The Buff color is not easy to breed and whenever I showed them they were "disqualified" as " no such thing" ,even in AOV classes. It is too difficult to get them popular or admitted into the Standards, not enough interest in them. Dan Honour

Heyya Dan, Good to see ya here. I must say though, I love the buff and would like to work with them also. They are gorgeous and the buff color is wonderful!..... You have done a great job with them and no one has more beautiful buff leghorns than you.

Dan, Thanks for the warning! My brother is determined to breed Buff Old English and I have buff silkies coming in the spring, So what's adding another breed to the list? I will have the buff old English genetics right in my back yard at my access. Granted they are different 'type', at least I can attempt to get a buff long tail and then breed back to phoenix type. Worse thing that happens I have beautiful cross bred long tails?
