Post Phoenix Pics Please

Pics
Thanks Amanda. In part ,I think that the reason (Shojo) or Black Tailed Red Phoenix/Minohki have been so hard to make,is the lack of related colors ;wheaton and Buff.In short the wheaton allele is much less common than duckwing and birchen ,with most longtails.

lol. Onagadori? None of my business, but they don't even have long tails from what the pic shows. Rooster has an upright tail, no saddles to speak of and looks like a game! Onagadori is a name folks. If I show you a turkey and say it is a pheasant, I would hope you could tell the difference. Again Onagadori is a breed and it is just a name when used on a bird as pictured in this auction listing. We need to educate ourselves. If you know your birds you can look at a photo and know what you are getting basically. Marc King has a great site for education on onagadori. onagadori.com

I couldnt stand it. I had to message him last night off ebay.
He confessed that they were smuggled in imports, 15/16 garanteed pure onagdri (or however he spelled it) the pea comb was from a oriental game in them (well even then they arent PURE all other stuff aside) Said they had blue legs (they need green) what a joke, also said the saddles were trimmed to keep them out of poo, (they aint, I can look and tell they aint trimmed)...Scammer from way back. Says he has 55 types of long tails (didnt know there were that many) Said the only longtail he didnt have was white onagarius, LOL

Onagadori, got to pm you him message, you'll get a kick out of it, says they get 30 foot tails for him!!

LOL> Well, I have just about seen it all. We laugh about this, but the reality is people purchase from people like this and then what happens. There was a guy in California who had longtails and he sold to two people here in tx, using Knutt Rhoders pics on real onagadori, calling his birds onagadori. Then when they got the birds, they weren't onagadori and it turns out they had some sort of feather problem that was genetic and the feathers would fall out and develope cysts in the folicles. OK< needless to say, the lady spend $150.00 a bird and was charged $250 to ship them. $250 dollars to ship 4 birds..... Conscious is what we need to have. I mean, how can you treat a person like that? The rooster the lady had was unusable and the other party had to put the birds down. I can't really be angry with the uneducated buyer for using the name onagadori, I mean, they don't have a clue. I just try to educate them and move on.
