When is the show? The roo is not quite developed enough to do well in a show right now. He has nice white earlobes, his comb is nice and straight, although the points could be better. You want him to lose that white fluff at the base of his tail, idk if it would DQ him, but he should not have that brown color on his back. As far as the pullet goes, she looks nice. Her color seems to meet the standard from what I can see. Of course, the most important thing is for the bird to be "balanced". I would take her now and see how she does. He should be ready in time for spring shows, hopefully he will molt out that brown coloring. Just make sure he doesn't get a frostbitten comb this winter. Good luck!

Hm. The other rooster I probably should have kept. He didn't have the brown color, but I rehomed him because he was growing his tail feathers in at awkward angles.

It was just a fall county fair. Nothing big anyway. I actually won't be able to go regardless because my grandmother died yesterday and then I have a dog show at the end of the fair when they want you to collect your bird back. It's been one thing after another. And the floofy white is DQ??? NOOO. I love his poof butt! XD

I am sorry to hear about your grandmother

. The white at the base of his tail is not a DQ, it is just a sign of his age, he should lose it as he grows older. I like it too, but it is not desirable in an adult bird

. I forgot, did you say that your son was wanting to show him or you? County fairs are more lenient.

So Aubrey, when can I expect more eggs from you? lol. JK.......sort of. I have only 1 pullet out of the eggs from Tonie Marie. What should I do with her? All my other birds are bantams. She is a pretty little thing.

Any time you are ready, they started back laying a few weeks ago, getting silvers, whites, bb red, dun, black, barred silver, blue and dun silver, and a few lavender and maybe a barred or two right now.
maybe a couple others too, would have to check.

What is the pullet from Toni-Marie? Even if it's a large fowl you can breed it to the bantams and work your way back down in size, or back up depending on where you wanted to go with them.

She is LF. I have her in with my gold duckwing roo right now, along with my Silkie/Phoenix cross pullet. I put her in with the white roo, but the 4 girls that he is in with bullied her too badly and I didn't want to risk losing her. I should be able to tell the difference between her eggs and the Silkie/Phoenix hen because she is a LF, and the cross is a bantam. I have no idea what I am going to do with the cross right now, can you imagine a silkied Phoenix? lol. I will PM you about eggs soon, gotta make sure that I have the money. At least the weather here has been perfect for shipping eggs.
