yep my cockerel feathered hens all seemed to sprout them at or before the males too. Most all lay very well for me. I do have a blue gold hen though that just lays those little marble sized eggs, would think it has to be related to the feathering. But the others all do great.

And yep Toni Marie, would love to see that ohiki hen with it. Did any of those contacts I sent you work out for the birds you were hunting?

Do any of you guys sell the Phoenix Long Tails? I'm looking at getting a pair (male and female) for my mum for Christmas. Shes a chicken fanatic and would love to breed these birds. Cheers Tom

beautiful smart birds!! great flyers and hunters. i got 2 roos and 3 hens so just introduced the smaller guy with his own hens (buff Orps) and he's loving it
