Post Phoenix Pics Please

Definately put a lavender with a black before a white, the white will most likely be more dominate, whereas the lavendar an black gene give more of a 50/50 chance of each color

I agree, but the problem is she doesnt have any blacks, virtually no one does. I can think of 3 not including myself that have them. That being said, recessive white would be the next best, but she doesnt have that either, so the dominate white was just her only choice for a male to use over her hen. I agree though, way more complex to work with than just a black to lav combo, and in this case, the dominate white will win out in ruffly 75% or so of the chicks on the f2 cross.

Good looking blue silver by the way.
And have wished for years someone would come out with bantam yokos. Let me know how that goes, I just way too many projects going to take on another right now, good luck with them

From mine yes mainly silver dw, a few have silver birchen under them ( that's where her birchen popped up from I'm sure, many have so far), but those are just hens, wont work seeing how she needs a male to the black, or the lavender.
Cy's white based, should be a recessive-cream pyle, which looks all white on the male, but the hens do show the salmon breast, though very faint, IF it came from the same line I have from him at least.
They are turning out to be real good birds. The male never molted even in breeding pens this year, and is a touch over 4 foot on his longest converts despite the breakage, saddles got beat up pretty bad too last year with the hens, but his longest are 19 inches now. Not bad on a bantam

From what she listed, that's the only male available at the moment though.

She does have another white cockerel off the black schubert hen and Cy's roo, so when he's old enough, which looks like he's close now, I'd definitely put him back over the black hen for now, at least 1/4 of them should all be blacks that way.

That or Mopar, call ol Cy back up and get another lavender male!!

Lavender gold duckwing would be pale straw yellow with lavender where the black usually is.. Like isabela kind of.. I think it would be amazingly beautiful.. Lavender dilutes reds and golds too.. Even if it did not have a huge tail.. that would just be pretty..

I was think that, and didn't I ask about the isabel brahmas? I am not a genetics guru, but had that pattern in mind. I think someone ( not in us) has a pic of that on the onagadori site and I bet I have looked 100 times at it. I wish I had more room.

No, it is red showing through. My brown reds carry a pattern gene that causes them to some times have all over patterns. this is just expressing it a little.. Usually my brown reds carry ginger, pg, and a melanizer. though all may not be in each bird. since it is impossible to tell by looking..
