it's the D-2362-N that I have used, all of them are good though. Do get the fan one. I never get the turn just because I handle so many eggs. I can get 140 bantam eggs in one without the turner, compared to 50 or so how ever many the tray holds.

sorry for the delay, work and birds keeping me tied up

Amanda you have a line that lays blue eggs?

Yes, The eggs are getting darker.. My black rooster is from blue egg layers.. So the offspring are laying blue eggs..! 3 out of 4 pullets.. Not sure the 4th pullet is laying.. kind of excited.. They even have the straight combs which is hard to get on a blue egg laying bird..

That is so cool! What did you do to get to that point? Did you outcross to americana's? But then you would have lost the type. Humm, This is really cool! lol

The outcross was years and years ago.. And yes, rumpless Auracanas..
When we used to breed araucanas, we had a line of blacks that would get the dark faces during the summer. Their tailed chicks always had longer tails that were lower, I still wonder if these had sumatra bred into them for color or something, or if they were from a blue egg laying sumatra project

Boggy Bottoms,
I completely understand what you're saying. So should I just go with a cheap hovabator one?
I have a turner because I am in college and my mom does not have the time to turn the eggs.
When I incubate I just turn them by hand... How often do you turn? and do you turn eggs one by one?

Thankssss
I am going home today to go bleach the incubator & incubate the silver pheasant eggs
