Post Phoenix Pics Please

Yes he is awesome Amanda! You got some good pics there!

Thanks.. He has a wonderful personality.. He lets me put him wherever I want and is so gentle.. It is nice when you have them like that and nonmolting.. I have a nonmolting mahogany ginger rooster who is not near as calm.. Doesn't make for a good tomebaku bird.. But still good for breeding..

Splash red mottled..
Oh these are gorgeous!!

Yokohama in the back ground?...Pretty bird for sure...At first glace one would think Pyle.... But then slash makes a birds look almost white, add red and mottling then you have your bird...Interesting cock bird.......TM

yokohama, a little hamburg, andalusian, sumatra, and a few other breeds.. Nice mix for sure.. Of course that was way back in the 90's.. When they get 99.9999% phoenix, you pretty much call them phoenix.. I really like the mottling.. I can use it to get spangled, millie fleurs, or just mottled.. but right now, I think the most about a red ginger bird with mottling and dominant white.. Essentially a red bird with a white tail and white mottling all over it.. I think it would be almost as stunning as a red shouldered yokohama..

I would love a mixed bird like that over a Purer phoenix any day....Most people dont understand that but a breeder of over 25 years on just long-tails would.... You have not been in that long but I think you know what i'm talking about when it comes to phoenix....He was very pretty..... Many people dont understand that you can have a bird like that with all those other breeds and still get a very nice non-molter out of the blends....True you need to keep many to see how they feather out but it's not that hard if you know what your doing and have the patients to stick with it like us old farts have... Sorry Manderzz but that means you too....LOL....TM

LOL>> I agree.. The mixes are very nice.. And the nonmolting carries over well.. But like you said, you need to keep many to see how they feather out.. I sometimes feel like it may not be the patience that keeps me doing it, but the out right obsession with the longtails.. LOL> The bird in your avitar is nice.. Got any black fibro phoenix? That would be pretty too..
