Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

We have some Buff Orpingtons that are 5 weeks old. They are in the outside coop brooder with the marans, sex links, and the California whites.

Here are my March 30 chicks. (8wks) I kept 2 lav boys to grow out. I hope one will be a good candidate to be our new rooster. The choc cuckoo orp is from a different line & boy is she small. The other chick is a penciled rock. It's hard to believe they all hatched on the same day. The mama hen (Cookie) left them 1-2 weeks ago but the lav boys take good care of their sisters.

My May 5 & 7th hatch was given to Oopsie. I also had an orp, a silkie, 3 Spitzhaubens, & 2 quail from April 15th. They were already in the brooder, so when I moved Oopsie & her 33 adopted chicks to the brooder, she adopted those older ones as well. We're down to 14 chicks & zero quail. It's still a lot but more people are coming today, so I hope to sell out sometime this week. (Well technically, we want to keep the older orp & 1 remaining spitz.) In the pic above you can see the spitz poking her head out from under a wing. The 6 wk spitz & orp are too big to fit under mama, so they sleeps next to her. The 3 wk old chicks sometimes sleep under their big sisters. LOL

Still trying to get a pic of my blue pullet, Jewel.
She's often moving... or looking for food....
