Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Oops, forgot to post pic yesterday. Didn't get a particularly good pic of my black girl but here she is. She is still very young, hasn't been laying long, but I hope she is going to turn out nice.

This poor little splash has to be one of the ugliest things I've seen in a while!

But I bet you anything, in 4 months, he will be the prettiest thing ev-AH.

Mrs. AK- it's nice to know that they have an ugly duckling stage- I just got 5 sweeties- one very dark blue, two medium blues and two blacks, and the month old dark blue looked a little scruffy!

Highlander, I hope my two black pullets end up looking anything like your beauty- wow!

I am just getting into this breed. What U? And why is it nice?

I jjust mean the U shape that runs from the back of the head to rump area. Not flat and straight back and then finally some tail feathers.

Here is a photo of a blue cock I had about four years ago. I got him from Sandhill as a chick. He has a really good U shape and nice tail. Wattles to big . I didn't keep him but he was a handsome bird. Using this old pic as a example on a male. I like the neck shorter to but still a nice shaped bird

this is one of my Original Splash hens. She is getting old but still lays well. She is over 4 years old. I need to get a updated photo cause she is so fat and broad. I can't bring myself to sell her off. She has always had good type
