Bill you buff hen is very very nice typey girl.

Thanks Mrs. Bird Brain.

Those chicks on the shoulder are so cute. They may start talking.

Thanks for the explanation and pics of "U"- you are all SO nice, helping me learn - the more pics I see of these beautiful birds, the more I love them!!!

Thanks Julie, I love that Blue boy you had. WoW he is just what we want.
DOC is a daddy 10 times and over. Puttin him on my better girls could make some nice thick Orps. I have another batch that I put in a few days ago to make sure he is doing his job. He has 5 girls and 4 of them are giving fertile eggs. Ofcourse the one that is not, is my biggest girl. She is a Catalpa girl. I love her entirely except for her tail. This year I am into making some nicer tailed Orps. Everything else about my birds I like. So we're working on singling out some wide tailed chicks for the next year to play with.
And officially I have 3 boys from the eggs I got from you. That is perfect, one from Tubby looks like a clone of the boy from Charlie. NICE BOYS!!

Currently I have a buff hen and a black hen and while neither is sq, their disposition is lovely. I've been wanting whites for a long time and am wondering if anyone here can tell me if they have the same level of friendliness?

They should be the same type of personality. BUT, I do have some naughty boys here & one is an Orpington. And he is my naughtiest, he is a Buff I call Tonka. I go into his pen with a mop, to mop his butt up with the place IF need be. He is a bad boy. No gifts for him from Santa, only lumps of coal. lolol And I have another, a Blue Ameraucana cockerel, who is equally full of himself. I feed his pen with an old Teflon pan, and I broke the plastic handle off on him the other day when I whacked him. He is fine, the pan has no handle. He now is not trying to prove himself. You have to do what you have to do. Tonka is a very lucky boy. I spent too much money on his butt to whack his butt too hard. I just keep having to squeeze him when he gets too frisky. He is slowly learnin. VERY SLOW.
