Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Thanks to the generousity of ladies like Bamma, there are alot of folks now getting to enjoy the beauty of quality Orpingtons like she has. I really am looking forward to the next few years to see what can come out of these babies. I have one pen dedicated to growing out my Blacks and 3 pens for my adults. Last count I have 14 hens and 5 cockerels in my B/B/S program. Not counting my mutant Orp mix BUSTOFF. I love the BUS. I just threw in one of my Carlos Jr daughters for him to have at. He has great type, but she adds to the tail. The one trait I like to work on this year is broadening my tails. Alot of my Orps all seem to have a pinch tail. And my Buff do too. I HOPE to get some that may work out for next years breedings. I am even keeping a smaller cockerel with a lghter eye cause his tail is the best of my boys. hate having to walk the edge of good and bad traits.

Just hatching: large Fowl Buff Orpington chicks from Superior Farms. There are also Buff Wyandotte Bantam. Don't have atotal yet. About half are still pipped!

Congrat Jim. Nice looking little ones. Keep sending us pics. Superior has some Terry lines in them. they should be biggens.

I just became an NPIP tester for the state of Indiana. And heard about a test (T-12) that you send eggs to Purdue here in Lafayette Indiana. They test for all kinds of Salmonella, Mycoplasma and Avian enfluenza for FREE. And you get a T-shirt sent to you with your results within 2 weeks. The everyday NPIP test is just for PT. And you would have to pay extra to have someone on site test for all those other diseases. This sounds like a no brainer. Just have to pack up and ship em eggs.

Charlie got his picture taken today even though at first he was giving the cold shoulder. He finally reached his age of full potential I think

I never get tired of looking at him. Hope everyone else enjoys. I hope I get at least one cockerel this year that looks just like him.

Here are his first offspring of the year. Hatched mid Jan.

As soon as i can upload the photo I will show you what their daddy looked like at that age.

They are all gorgeous! But I especially love the splash.

Mine are 4 weeks old and going through their ugly duckling stage. Can't wait for them to turn into a swan!
